SUMMER MAINSTAGE TRAINING PROGRAM: ALICE BY HEART

GRADES 7-12

Our Mainstage Summer Training program is a 4 week intensive and rigorous professional training program. Over 4 weeks, students meet daily to work to mount a fully staged musical production. Through the rehearsal process, students are given intensive and specific feedback and training to deepen and develop their skills. Students leave the Summer Training Program truly transformed. With a focus on discipline, collaboration, and artistic growth, this program prepares young actors for high-level performance while building a strong, supportive community.

SEEKING

Performers in Grades 7-12

(Must be entering 7th Grade in the fall)

AUDITION WORKSHOP

A One Day Audition Workshop will be offered on June 1st to help students prepare for their audition!

AUDITIONS AND CALLBACKS

The summer mainstage program will change this year! Performers will audition by video to be selected into the training program. Once selected, performers will confirm their spots and pay tuition.

Once selected, performers will participate in live callbacks to select their role in the show.‍ ‍

Rehearsals will be at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave.

Performances are at the Theater at St. Clements, an Off Broadway venue on 46th St

TUITION

$1450. The Summer Training Program is a focused, 4 week summer program with all day, daily rehearsal. Because of the intensive nature, tuition is slightly higher than a school year show. Scholarships are available— please reach out to Kristen Caesar, Artistic Director to receive an application. Applications are due June 3rd at 5pm.

SUMMER INTENSIVE PRODUCTION

GRADES 2-12

Our summer intensives are an incredible collaborative production where performers ages 7-18 develop professional performance skills! Performers entering grades 9 and up act as mentors to the performers entering grades 3-8 and guide them through the rehearsal process!

All performers who sign up will be given a role, auditions are just to decide which role you will be placed in. Audition videos are due July 24th!

Rehearsals and Performances will be at the Institute for American Musical Theater. We will have an entire floor with a large theater, several studios, kitchen and lounge just for us! The address is 556 W. 158th St, 2nd Floor
